Frequently Asked Questions
What is this site about?
It allows you to read your favorite feeds in your email inbox.
How does it do this?
You provide us with a feed or website homepage URL, and whenever that site's feed is updated we will convert it to email and send it to you!
Why is this necessary?
It's not. But I find it useful to read my favorite content via email rather than having to check them all at different websites or via a feed reader. I guess others will too.
What's a feed anyway?
It's just a way of getting easy updates to news, blogs, or any other kind of content. Your browser indicates where feeds are present by showing this icon:
Do you support auto-discovery?
Yes. Simply input a site URL and if any feed links are in the source we will try to use them as the target.
What types of feed do you support?
We support RSS and Atom feeds.
How do I subscribe to a feed?
Enter the feed URL and your email in the boxes on the home page
. You will get an email asking you to confirm that you want to receive the feeds. Just reply to that email and wait for the feeds to arrive in your email inbox. Simple!
I can't find any emails from feed2email in my inbox. Where are they?
Sometimes, over-zealous spam filters put mail in your 'junk' or 'spam' folder. Check to see if they have placed our mail in there. Then add firstname.lastname@example.org to your contacts to make sure our mail gets delivered to the right place.
How do I manage my subscriptions or get help?
Reply to any of the feed emails you receive in order to see your subscriptions.
How can I export a list of my subscriptions?
Reply to any of the feed emails you receive with 'export' in the subject line and we'll send you back an OMPL file that you can import into Google Reader or any other good RSS/podcast reader.
How do I unsubscribe?
Every feed email you receive will have an address for you to unsubscribe.
How can I make sure to receive no more emails from this site?
Just reply to any email you get from us with STOP in the subject line.
What will my email address be used for?
You can be assured that your email address will only be used to send the feed updates you requested. You won't be placed on any spam lists or the like.
